| Nominate genuine representatives to Board: B.S .P | | | Jammu, August 2 In a meeting Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), chaired by it’s state vice Chairman, Tulsi Das Langeh took a serious note of non-functioning of the State Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of scheduled caste communities. According to a press release, Langh said, that the said Board which is chaired by Chief Minister Gh. Nabi Azad and whose vice chairman Girdhari Lal Chalotra (M.L.A), is a mockery with the scheduled caste communities, as it has been not constituted for the last three years by nominating its members from the said community, from all the recognized Political and Social organizations nor has any meeting 0f it been held for the same period. Langeh, according to the release, expressed grave concern over the plight of the SC communities for the failure of those representing them in the Legislative Assembly (L.A.) have miserably failed to protect their rights, as result of which a defective SRO-294/Reservation-Act/2004was passed the interests of SC/ST s. The B.S.P. leader called it unfortunate for these communities to be represented by such type of leaders who care nothing for those whom they represent but care only for their own well being and status. This, he said, is the reason why vice chairman of the Board Girdhari Lal does not constitute the Board by including the representatives of all Political and Social organizations, the release added. The B.S.P. leaders took strong notice of a news spread in a section of press which said that a meeting of SC Welfare Board was held, adding that such a meeting, in which neither its chairman, Gh. Nabi Azad, nor Chief-Secretary nor Principal Secretaries / Commissioners of different departments were present who are answerable for implemen- tation of all the Welfare Schemes and special component plans for these communities’ welfare and development, the release added further. Those who attended the meeting are Tulsi Das, Sewa Raman, member Central Executive Committee, K.A.Kazi,Raj Kumar Raja, state Gen. Secretaries, D.R. Arti, Puran Chand Bhagat, and Chaman Lal Bhagat, Distt. Presidents, Udhampur, Doda and Jammu P.C.Dansalia, member state executive committee and Charan Das the release concluded
