| PF official caught accepting bribe | | |
SRINAGAR | March 1
Today, State Vigilance Organisation caught red handed Shri Raja Nisar Ahmed, Assistant Compiler in the GP Fund (Provincial Police Cell Kashmir Srinagar) while accepting a bribe of Rs.500/- from a police constable as illegal consideration for providing him a copy of GP Fund schedule.
Mohd. Mutahar No.2354/PW, a constable in Police Telecommunication lodged a written report with police station Vigilance Organisation Kashmir alleging that Shri Raja Nisar Ahmed, Assistant Compiler in the GP Fund (Provincial Police Cell Kashmir Srinagar) is demanding illegal gratification from him for providing his GP Fund schedule of account No.115822.
Case FIR No.12/2007 P/S VOK U/S 5(2) P.C Act 2006 r/w 161-RPC was registered and investigation taken up. In the course of investigation officials of SVO laid a successful trap during which the Assistant Compiler was caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.500/- in his Batmaloo office. The tainted money was recovered from the possession of the accused in presence of independent witnesses. His hand wash and pocket wash was taken which tested positive. He was taken into custody for further investigation. |
