| Omar, Farooq urge partymen to stay tuned united | | | Jammu, March 01 (KIP): With an eye on elections National Conference leadership has already started training its party cadre to gear up for the real 'battle of ballots' in the days to come. Addressing huge gathering of party workers here at the Sher-e Kashmir bahwan on Thursday after the felicitation ceremony of two members of the legislative council MY Taing and Davinder Singh Rana, Omar Abdullah told party workers to put up a united front and extend much awaited healing touch to needy and poor masses in remote areas. " My advice to you is simple and categoric, time has come to be in the company of people as elections are nearing". If you think NC will come to power without labouring hard it is your misconception. You have to feel the pulse of masses and for that you have to be with them. "Lehar ko pakadney ki jarorat hai, humey kamyab hongey". Sounding cautious,Omar said ," If you have any differences with your party colleagues it is better to resolve them or bury them. It is not in the interest of the party and for all of us. Party patron DrFarooq Abdullah in his spirited speech tried his level best to motivate party cadre for the assembly polls ahead. In his inimitable style he asked them to pool resources for the party fund as money also plays an important part in fighting elections. He urged party leadership sitting on the dias to come out of the shells and stop backbiting. This will not take us far, we have to end our disputes within the party forum, Dr Abdullah said.
