| Orientation training course for adolescent girls concludes | | | R S Pura, March 01 The 6-day long orientation training course for adolescent girls under Kishori Shakti Yojana, organized by Integrated Child Development Project Vijaypur, concluded at Tarait Bari Brahmana today. A batch of 30 school drop outs selected from 10 Anganwari centres participated in the training course. Nutrition demonstration officer A K Bararu, who was the chief guest at the concluding function, impressed upon the trainees to make full use of the orientation training course in their life. He also gave detailed awareness about nutrition care to children, adolescent, pregnant and nursing mothers. CDPO Rajeev Singh Salaria said that the participants in the course have been imparted training regarding adolescent, health, nutritional care of children apart from prevention of emerging endemic diseases among children, family welfare, child care, ill affects of early marriages. He said the participants were also made aware about their legal rights, prevention of dowry, domestic violence and the policies and programs for empowerment of women in the state. He hoped that this orientation course would help improve the health, nutritional and social status of the participants.
