| Iftikhar gets Youth award | | | Jammu | Mar 2
Iftikhar Ahmed, Student of Law Department, JU and a social worker of has been awarded District Youth Award for the year 2007 in the State Level Convention of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan recently held at Youth Hostel, Nagrota.
Iftikhar Ahmed, who belongs to Rajouri district runsg a Regd. NGO namely Nation Builders organization which is working in the field of social activities for the last six years. He is also the General Secretary of NSUI Student Union and active NSS volunteer. He also got Vice chancellor award for the session 2004-05. He remained as General Secretary of College Student Union and participated in various programmes by college.
The award was given by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India.
Babu Singh, MOS for Youth affairs and Sports and Ramesh Chander MOS for PHE Irrigation presented the award to Iftikhar for his outstanding performance in social activities to create awareness regarding various threatening issues to the society and organizing function in the district.
