Congress nominee files nomination papers

Congress nominee for the post of Mayor of Jammu Municipality, Narinder Singh Raju today filed his nomination papers in the presence of senior leaders of the party.
A large number of party workers and senior leaders including PCC president Peerzada Mohd Sayeed, R&B minister Gulchain Singh Charak, legislators of Congress party were present on the occasion.
The Congress corporators, who were present on the occasion, appreciated the decision of the party for fielding Narinder Singh Raju for the post of Mayor.
Appreciating the qualities of head and heart of ‘Raju’, Corporator Gandhi Nagar, Bansi Lal Gupta, who was also present on the occasion, said “Raju is a foot soldier of the party and he has risen from the ranks and such would be able to guide the Jammu Municipal Corporation in a better way”.
The corporators in one voice said that Raju was a very honest social worker and understood the problems of Jammu city, “ he would be able to solve the problems of people of Jammu”, they added.
Earlier, the Congress decided to field Narinder Singh Raju, after extensive consultations with corporators, legislators and senior leaders of the party. Taking into account his selfless services, the party decided to name his as the party candidate for this post.
Prominent personalities present on the occasion included Dharam Pal Sharma, senior vice president PCC, Sardar Parduma Singh, MLC; Yash Pal Khajuria, vice president; Amrit Malhotra (MLC), Mula Ram(MLA), Raman Bhalla (MLA), Yogesh Sawhney (MLA), R.S.Chib (MLC), Arvinder Singh Micky (MLC), Th. Hari Singh General Secretary, Ravinder Sharma spokesperson, Vinod Sharma, Kanta Bhan, Manmohan Choudhary Mayor, S Amolak Singh, Maheshwar Singh, Raval Mattoo, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Om Chopra, Manmohan Singh, Vijay Malhotra, Lalita Sharma, Kailash Sharma, Deepak Bhardwaj and others party workers.
