| JYF organizes seminar on ‘ill designed delimitation’ | | | JAMMU, MAR 5
Seminar on ‘ill designed delimitation, a tool to perpetuate subjugation of Jammu Province’ was organized here today. The seminar was organized by Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) under the leadership of Sunil Jandria. The main objective of organizing the seminar was to raise the regional aspirations of Jammu so that the shackles of subjugation could be broken.
Addressing the participants at the Seminar, NPP leader and former MLA Hardesh Singh said the aspirations of the people of Jammu have not been taken into consideration while making seat distribution, while Rampaul of Dogra Liberation Front and Daya Sagar, an eminent columnist spoke on the technicalities of the delimitation.
Uddey.Chand of Dugger Pradesh Committee said that the lack of awareness was the main reason for lagging behind of Jammu as compared to Kashmir, while BJP MLA Jugal Kishore Bali Bhagat and Satpaul of BSP felt the need for forging unity amongst different parties.
Jadish Sapolia, Ashwani Sharma Jammu State Morcha. Rajeev Chuni of Jammu Refugees Union and Chander Mohan Sharma of Praja Parishad also spoke at the seminar.
Senior Congress leader Dharam Paul summing up the seminar stated that ‘delimitation should have been executed but there are inherent problems so far as governance in Jammu and Kashmir is concerned. Every one agrees that Jammu and Kashmir is a complex state and the basic difference in Kashmir is that when the leadership realizes that it is Kashmir at stake each and every Kashmiri leader is one but in Jammu the leaders do not see eye to eye’, he observed.
