Jammu, March 4 Several Congress leaders today called on Mohammad Sharief Niaz, Senior Congress Leader and Former Minister at his residence to conveyed their congratulation for his elevation as Member Legislative Council. Mohammad Din & Ch. Bajjar from Surankot, Poonch, Shri Janak Raj Sharma, Rt. Principal and Sodagar Chand Gupta, from Vijaypur, besides, a deputation led by Shri Suraj Mehta from Budhi, Kathua. These leaders appreciated for the work done by Shri M.S. Niaz during his tenure as Power Minister in the State. They also said that Shri Niaz has strengthened the Congress party in the state on gross root level and he has always put his doors open for the public to redress their genuine problems all the times. They said that Shri Niaz with his efforts has strengthen the secularism, Communal harmony, brother hood among all the communities in the state particularly in the sensitive areas of District Doda and Rajouri/Poonch. They conveyed their thanks to Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad, Hon’ble Chief Minister and Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji, President AICC & Chairperson, UPA Coalition government at the Centre for nomination of Shri Niaz as Member Legislative Council, who is popular leader of the state having a good reputation among the people. They demanded for induction of Shri Niaz in the council of Ministers keeping in view of his past performance. |
