| SSSRC wins by 87 runs | | |
JAMMU | March 5
SSSRC XI defeated Aircel Customer Care (ACC) XI by 87 runs in the exhibition match being played at GGM Science College Ground yesterday. The match was organized by Roshni Cricket Academy.
SSSRC XI won the toss and elected to bat first. SSSRC scored 181 runs all out in the last ball of the 25 overs game. Vikram Aditya played brilliant cricket and scored 53 runs in just 27 balls. He struck the ball to all part of the ground with splendid shots. He smashed four huge sixes and two boundaries in his inning.
Hilal Rather was another highlight of the day who contributed 45 runs in 52 balls having two splendid boundaries over point region and four sixes included two straight sixes. Neeraj Dogra also scored 25 runs with four balls to cross the fence. Sunny and Sarva Mufti contributed 12 runs each in SSSRC innings. There were 12 extras. Dinesh and Suresh took three wickets each for ACC whereas Anupam and Rohit claimed one wicket each.
While chasing the target, ACC was bundle out at 94 in 16.1 overs. There were only two players who crossed the double figure. Suresh struck 29 with three fours and Naveed contributed 10 runs. 25 runs went as extras in ACC innings.
Hilal Rather bowled with tight line and length and took five wickets which were enough to crushed opponents innings. Munish, Vikram and Sourav claimed one wicket each.
Hilal was declared man of the match. Sukh Chain Singh and Papu Dogra were the umpires in the match whereas Rajeev acted as the official scorer.
