| Self rule only a political gimmick: AKPSC | | | Jammu | Mar 5 An Election Committee meeting of All Kashmir Pandit Solidarity Conference was held under the presidentship of O N Trisal, president (AKPSC) where a close scrutiny of the resolution adopted by the J&K Peoples Democratic Party at its executive Committee meeting was held. Trisal said that the language used in the resolution smacks of an appreciation of the stand taken by the Pakistan leadership for the resolution of the outstanding issues of J&K. Mufti Sayeed needs to be reminded of the statements that he issued from time to time right from the days when he opted for a position in Democratic national conference in 1959 under the influence of the Late D.P. Dhar, who was mainly responsible for his induction into the mainstream politics. Mufti Sayeed swore a million times in the name of accession to India as the only solution to the problem. He added that the political stance of his party is in consonance with the aspirations of the terrorist organizations which have unleashed terror to frighten away all genuine democratic elements in the State. The plight of KP minority community’s exodus is well known and the lip service by referring to the plight with sorrow and seeking their return with dignity is a diversion to hood wind public opinion. Time and again, efforts are made to equate the religious fundamentalist elements and the security forces in terms of their responsibility for violent acts in the stage that too after Mufti lost the stewardship of the Govt. The political theory put forth by the executive is one of the indirect support to the separatists and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of one of the most discipline security forces in the world today, one has only to imagine the cruelties perpetrated by the Pakistan forces in the erstwhile East Pakistan before 1971. The so-called self rule is only a political gimmick aimed at crystallizing the Anti-Indian sentiments and to destabilize the existing relationship between the State and the Union. Those who participated in the meeting included Rajni Bhat, Opinder Krishen Bhat, M.L. Sopori, P.L. Aima, J.N. Jothshi, P.N. Dhar, Avtar Krishen, Anita Kaul, Usha Bhat and Shah Jee.
