The Power Employees Union led by Shakti Gupta, president and S.Jasbir Singh, president ITI. Diploma Holders Association is going to observe pen down and tool down strike from 5th march till their demands are conceded by the government. The strike shall exempt essential services such as PHE and Hospitals.
The leaders said that the employees were forced to take this hard step only because of the negative attitude of the state government, which has failed to provide appropriate relief to the employees of the PDD despite written agreement and assurances.
Meanwhile, the PDD employees today took a massive rally which started from the office of Chief Engineer, Maintenance and R.E. Wing and commenced at New Secretariat.
The Union appealed to the employees to get united and observe the strike in the entire state. The rally was addressed by Shakti Gupta and S. Jasbir Singh president of PPEU and I.T.I.
