| Bovine smugglers, bootlegger arrested | | | Jammu | Mar 5 Samba police today arrested a duo of bovine smugglers carrying some bovines on a load carrier on its way to Srinagar from Kathua. The vehicle along with bovines was seized by the police. Meanwhile, a bootlegger was arrested in Ramgarh area and 10 bottles of liquor was seized from his possession. According to reports, Samba police during routine checking on naka stopped a load carrier bearing registration no JK02AC-6541 for checking and recovered some bovines from the vehicle and arrested two persons namely Jagdev Singh son of Sama Ram of Sidh Swankha and Ashiq Hussain, son of Jamat Ali of Balote, Kathua. Later, they told during preliminary interrogation they were carrying the bovines from Kathua to Srinagar. Meanwhile, during checking on Chak Salarian Naka observed one person in suspicious condition and stopped him for checking and during checking police recovered10 bottles of liquor from his possession and took him to police station for further interrogation. He has been identified as Jaswant Singh son of Chanda Singh resident of Pakhri.
