| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 3 held | | | early times report
Jammu , June 29: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of three bovine smugglers in Akhnoor and Nagrota areas, police sources said. "On specific information Police team from Akhnoor Police Station laid a naka and during checking stopped Vehicle Tata Mobile (JK 11 A-2843) and recovered 02 Bovines animals which were being transported illegally and also arrested two accused Driver Tofal Hussain S/O Mohd Anif Caste Gujjar R/O Bharon Rajouri and Mohd Aziz S/O Dil Mohd Caste Gujjar R/O Thuthi Rajouri. A Case against FIR no 144/13 U/S 188 RPC,3 PC Act has been registered and investigation started. In a similar incident Nagrota Police laid a naka and during checking stopped load carrier (JK 02 AB-1715) and recovered 01 Bovine animal which was being transported illegally and also arrested one person identified namely as Rinku Kumar S/O Harbans Lal R/O Gol Gujral. However the other accused namely Mohd Altaf S/O U/K R/O U/K fled away from the spot. A case FIR no 199/13 U/S 188 RPC has been registered and investigation started. |
