| Cancellation of K Oil licenses challenged | | Cancellation of K Oil licenses challenged | | Jammu, March 05 Justice Nirmal Singh of J &K High Court Jammu wing in a CMP filed on behalf of 716 cancelled kerosene oil licenses, after hearing Advocate Vishal Sharma appearing for the petitioners, issued notice to respondents state and others returnable within two weeks In the CMP it has been submitted that a writ petition titled Rattan Lal and Others is pending in the High Court, the Court issued notice to the respondents which were accepted by the counsel for the respondents and respondents were directed to file objection within two weeks. The time allowed to the respondents to file objections has elapsed but the respondents have not filed the objection till date. That the petitioners in the petition have challenged the order passed by the respondents suspending all kerosene licenses falling within Jammu Municipal Corporation for one months with effect from January 27, 2007. However, during pendency of writ petition, the respondents have cancelled 716 kerosene licenses without disclosing as to which licenses have been cancelled. The petitioners prayed before the Court that pending disposal of the writ petition, the respondents be directed to furnish the details of the licenses cancelled along with grounds of cancellation and to supply, restore the quote of kerosene oil to the licenses whose license have not been cancelled. |
