| HC stays PSC Notification regarding appointment of SCA | | |

Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain of J &K High Court Jammu wing today stayed the notification No-9 of Public Service Commission dated December 28, 2006 regarding the appointment of Soil Conservation Assistants (SCA) Engineering.
Seventeen petitioners in their petition filed through Adv Abhinav Sharma stated that the petitioners are Bsc Agriculture and qualified for the said posts and challenging the notification on various grounds including that the petitioners are qualified for the post of Soil Conservation Assistant (engineering).
Justice Hussain, after hearing Adv Abhinav Sharma, issued notice to State through Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Agriculture Production and J&K Public Service Commission through its secretary returnable with in two weeks for filling objections. In the meanwhile, Court ordered that notification issued by PSC on December 28, 2006 shall remain stayed; however, this order shall remain subject to the objections of other side. |
