| PK seeks extension in J&K religious places Bill | | |
Jammu, Mar 6 Panun Kashmir has made a formal request to J&K government to grant extension to the proposed ‘Jammu and Kashmir Shrines and religious places of Kashmiri Hindu Bill.’ This was decided in a meeting of experts and its office bearers under the chairmanship of Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, who decided to meet all the trustees/office bearers/managing committees of the various temples/shrines/places of worship of Kashmiri Hindus to elicit their opinions and suggestions to the proposed bill and voice a consensus of the community. It was also decided that the existing bodies of temples/shrines places of worship/yatra should have a decisive view in deciding about the acceptance or rejection of the proposed bill or suggest modification in the draft of the proposed bill. It was also unanimously decided that any attempt to empower any person or organization patronized by the state government would be opposed by the entire community.
