| Two held, 1600 intoxicant capsules seized | | | early times report Jammu, July 13: Police today has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered a cache of 1600 intoxicant capsules during a special nakas organized in two different incidents in Bishnah and Rajouri respectively, police said According to police on specific information Police Station Bishnah today laid a Naka at Mehmood pur. During checking Police stopped a M/Cycle without No and recovered 1400 Paravon Capsules from the possession of the rider of the bike while smuggling capsules from Jammu to Bishnah. The arrested has been identified namely Constable Vijay Kumar No (543/J) S/O Sh. Des Raj R/O W-12 Bishnah while 01 accused fled away from the spot who was later identified as Tirath Ram S/O Sewa Ram R/O Chack Avtara. Efforts are on to arrest him. The accused Constable is already facing suspension for his long absentee. In this regard Case FIR No 93/13 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS act has been registered and further investigation started. Meanwhile in a similar incident a drug peddler carrying 200 intoxicant capsules was arrested by the police during a special naka at Abdullah bridge in the heart of the Rajouri today "The accused has been identified as Mehmood Ahmed son of Mohammad Sadiq residence of Thanamandi, police reports said. Police said, "Based on specific information, the local police laid a naka on the bridge and during frisking of suspected youths found the capsules in the bag being carried by Mehmood." He was booked under NDPS act at Police Station Rajouri and was being interrogated about the source and recipient of the drug. |
