Dev activities reviewed at Shopian

SHOPIAN: To review the development activities being executed in the district, District Development Commissioner Shopian today convened a meeting of officers here today.
The progress of the ongoing development works were discussed sector wise and it was informed that two bridges namely Wandhama and Kalampora stand completed and are ready for inauguration, besides 90 percent of black topping of targeted roads for the current year have also been completed and remaining 10 percent shall be completed by the end of July 2013. In addition, 30 income generating units of shepherds have been established during the first quarter of the current fiscal by Sheep Husbandry department.
Further Deputy Commissioner directed Chief Agriculture Officer to start the departmental milk supply and vegetables on cheap rates during the month of Ramadhan. The Fisheries department was asked to ensure availability of fish in the market on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Deputy Commissioner also directed the district and sectoral officers to work with a team spirit so that the targets fixed for each sector shall be achieved within stipulated time frame.
