| Chairman J&K State Commission for Backward Classes refutes the news item | | | SRINAGAR: Refuting the News item about the disposal of cases by the Commission for Backward Classes being published in a daily local newspaper, the Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir State Commission of Backward Classes has termed it concoctus and figment of imagination.
According to the Chairman, the news item is shrouded in ignorance and lack of facts and the law of procedure governing disposal of cases by the Commission. Adding that the representations are decided only on solid and positive proof of backwardness of the respective areas and due regards are being given to representations of local leaders which always form a part of the record besides the only proof upon which the Commission has so far been placing reliance is the report sought from the revenue agency.
The Commission have made spot inspections of Akhnoor, Doda, Banihal, Kulgam and Devsar to examine the status of villages on ground. The Chairman of J&K State Commission for Backward Classes through a communiqué has assured that the Commission will provide succour to the deserving far flung areas and really backward classes of the State. |
