Lal Singh, local MLA tour rural areas of Ramban listen to people’s grievances

RAMBAN: Ch Lal Singh, Member Parliament Kathua Udhampur Constituency and Member Legislative Assembly, Ramban Ashok Kumar today conducted extensive tour of the constituency and took stock of the problems of the people.
Accompanied by a team of officers including Chief Education officer, Xen PWD, Xen PMGSY, Chief Medical Officer, CAO, BDO Ramban and officer of different department, the two leaders also addressed a public rally at far-flung area Kanthi. Local Sarpanchs and Panchs, besides Youth leader Arun Singh Raju were also present at the public meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch Lal Singh called upon the people to know about their rights and avail the benefits of schemes lunched by the government for their betterment. He informed the public that the government has initiated various flagship schemes for the upliftment of weaker and backward sections of the society and exhorted upon the people to avail the facilities available under the schemes like NRHM, MGNREGA, MDM, SSA, RAMSA.
He asked the women folk to strive for economic independence by availing the newly introduced UMEED scheme which aims at the empowerment of the women.
During their tour to remote areas, a large number of local representatives of various panchyats including Kanthi, Damote, Ganot, Junogh, Adhwa and Balhote etc. of tehsil and district Ramban apprised the MP and MLA Ramban about their demands and problems.
The MP sanctioned one each high Mast Light to seven panchyats of the area from his MPDF. Responding to the demands of University Camps at Ramban, Up-gradation of High school Kanthi to Higher secondary, up-gradation of Middle school Neera and Palli to High School , PHC for Kanthi, Community Hall at Kanthi, posting of staff in schools, MLA, Ashok Kumar assured the public that all their genuine demands will be met in a timeframe manners. He informed the public that a Girls Hostel at Kanthi, 36 PMGSY roads, various school building have been sanctioned for the district. He also announced two IAY houses each for seven Panchyats from his CDF.
