| JKP to hold Martyr’s Hockey Tournament | | | JAMMU, MAR 06
Jammu and Kashmir Police (J&K) finalized the arrangements to organize the 2nd All India police Martyrs Memorial Hockey Tournament” shall be played at KK Hakhu Astro – Turf Hockey Stadium, Jammu.
In the press note, it was disclosed that the tournament will starts from 16th to 22nd of March and it is affiliated with India Hockey Federation as “A” grade and is to be played under the auspicious of J&K Hockey Association. In the meet chaired by P.S. Gill, IPS, Addl. DGP Armed J&K constituted the organizing committee involving top officials of the police.
It is expected that ten “A” grade teams will participate from outside State like Punjab Police, Punjab and Sind Bank, ONGC, Rock Rovers, BSF, corps of sigeal etc. Many International and national stars of hockey will also be in action during this championship.
It is pertinent to mention here that tournament is organized to commemorate the memories of the martyrs’ and cultivate spots culture in the society.
