| Awami Tehreek expresses concern our illegal sale of religious property | | | Jammu An Executive Committee meeting of J&K Awami Tehreek held under the chairmanship of Mohd. Altaf Dar expressed grave concern over illegal sales and encroachments of private and religious properties of Kashmiri Hindus. Speaking on the occasion, S K Ambardar, chief spokesman of the party apprised the members that various trusts and managing committees have misused their power and position and have sold out the precious property or leased it out clandestinely. He appreciated the move made by govt. to pass a Bill regarding consolidation and protection of these places. Amdardar laid emphasis on formation of the Managing Committees’ by voting under the auspices of Chief election officer of J&K State. He said that there would not be any controversy if the Governing body as well as Prabandhak Committees are elected right from its inception. H.S. Thakur, Abdul Rashid, Subash Sharma, Kewal Krishan, Ashutosh Koul and Abdul Majid Mir appealed to Chief Minister to use his good offices for finalizing the Bill in accordance to the wishes of the general masses. Mohd. Altaf Dar, president of the party has appealed all political leaders to come forward and pass the bill by virtue of which not only the confidence of Kashmiri Pandits can be restored but the valuable Lands / Property can be snatched from the clutches of various persons.
