Seventh Lok Adalat was held in the court premises, Akhnoor in connection with Diamond Jubilee celebration of High Court of J&K, under the chairmanship of Sandeep Gandotra.
Twenty two cases were adjudicated and two criminal cases were compromised and total fine of Rs. 22,800/- (Rupees Twenty Two thousands Eight hundreds only) realized on the spot in fifteen cases. Total nineteen cases were disposed off on the same day. Next Lok Adalat will be held on 07-04-2007.
The participants besides public included D P Gupta, Advocate (Bar President) all advocates of Bar Association, Akhnoor, Mohd. Sarwar (Nazir), Renu Misri (Jr. Asstt.), Rajiv Thappa (P.O.) of this court and Atul Sharma (Dy.S.P.) Akhnoor, Kuldeep Kour (Social Worker).
