Jammu A meet of delegation of Simmons College of Management, Boston, USA and Women entrepreneurs of Jammu was organized today by Centre for Quality Assurance, Jammu University. A delegation comprising of two faculty members and 18 students from Simmons College of Management, Boston, USA visited university of Jammu. On this occasion, Rani Baloeria was the guest of honour while Prof. Amitabh Mattoo was chief guest. Papers were presented by Payal Bhalla, an interior designer, Varuna Sharma, Nasreen Khan, owner of Mayor Public School, Meena Dubey running a pre-school, Archa Jain, exporter and Bhavna Sethi. social activists, member of Asra and Jammu Adventure sports club. Prof. Amitabh Mattoo presented mementos to Poonam Dhawan, Prof Keshav Sharma, Prof. Deepak Raj Gupta and Meenakshi Kilam. While speaking on this occasion he explained about the visit of delegation from USA and his vision of making university. Rani Baloria appreciated the efforts of centre for quality Assurance for organizing such an international event and initiatives for going global. Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Director, centre for quality Assurance, described the function as an effort for giving a global character to the university through international collaborations. Fay Stambula and Saran Hellenaquest, both students from Simmons school of Management, Boston, USA described their trip to Jammu as memorable one as they have learnt so many things from culture of Jammuties and their misconception about the India culture was now removed. Ginni Dogra, Assistant Director, centre for quality Assurance, presented the vote of thanks.
