| PDD employees to call off strike today | | |

following their meeting with higher authorities, the striking Power Development Department employees have decided to call off their strike tomorrow provided authorities concede their demands.
The PDD employees are on strike for last one week in support of their demands including provision for risk allowance, implementation of SRO 381, constitution of welfare fund, besides, regularization of Daily wagers appointed prior to ban.
The employees today met Development Commissioner Power and put forth their demands before him. He assured the employees that their genuine demands would be taken up with the government for early redressal.
Meanwhile, the employees decided to call off their strike tomorrow at 9 am after holding a meeting with the Power minister.
