| DPP urges Centre to restore original status to Jammu Radio Station | | |

Duggar Pradesh Party (DPP) has urged the Central Government to restore the original name of Radio Station Jammu, as Radio Jammu instead of Radio Kashmir Jammu, which is symbolizing the hegemony of Kashmir over Jammu region and is against all realities.
In a handout the DPP said radio station in the state was first established in Jammu and was called Radio Jammu and with the establishment of Radio station at Srinagar, the name was changed to Radio Kashmir Jammu just to please Kashmiris.
Urging the Centre to restore the regional status of Radio Jammu in accordance with the Akashwani manual, the DPP has alleged disparity in allotment of funds. It said presently Jammu station was getting one third of what was allotted to Srinagar Station. It has also demanded immediate replacement of defective transmitters and filling up of all the vacant posts.
