| Police-Public meet held | | | Doda Mar 09
Doda Police today organized a Police- Public meet at Bhadarwah, which was chaired by the SSP Manohar Singh. Large numbers of prominent citizens, political leaders, media persons and police officers participated in the meet and discussed various issues apart from the necessity to organize such meets in the militancy ridden areas.
Addressing the meeting the SSP urged upon the participants to cooperate with the police to eradicate militancy, to check traffic violation, smuggling and other illegal activities He said it is prime responsibility of every citizen to keep vigil on the illegal activities in the society and to inform the police for timely action.
Apart from holding such meets, the Police have organized a series of awareness camps including Debates, Quiz Competitions, Seminars, Symposia and workshops.
Several rominent citizens and political leaders who also spoke on the occasion expressed satisfaction over the working of district Police under the supervision of SSP Doda. The speakers assured of their whole hearted cooperation with the Police in eradicating social evils from the society apart from curbing militancy.
ASP Bhadarwah M.L.Mehra, SHO Bhadarwah Ajay Singh Jamwal, SI Shiv Krishan, Advocate Naresh Gupta, Ch. Mohd Iqbal , B.A.Wani , Tariq Hussain Zarger , Dhanantar Singh , Koushal Gupta , Hafeez Khateeb , Mohd Irshad , Munish Kotwal and several others were present at the meeting.
