| Azad earns reputation of most popular Health Minister since 1947 | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 16 : Union Health Minster and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has earned the reputation of being the most popular Health Minster of the country since 1947. Azad is the only Minster from UPA-II who has been able to find a place in the 'dream cabinet' formed on the basis of their popularity among masses as per the survey conducted by a national news channel. The channel according to the reports had asked people to give their preferences for the constitution of a dream cabinet and elect the persons among the ministers who had been in the union cabinet in different government since independence. Azad emerged as the most popular among all his predecessors. Azad who has earlier looked various ministries including civil aviation assumed charge of the health and family welfare ministry in 2009 in UPA second and is among a few ministers who have been able to retain the portfolio in the last year's major cabinet reshuffle. The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minster is viewed as a very seasoned politician with a clean public image who has brought revolutionary changes in the health sector across India. |
