CUJ promoting anti Jammu agenda: NSF

Jammu Aug 16 : National Secular Forum (NSF) demands CBI inquiry in the recently held appointments of Assistant Professors in the Central University Jammu (CUJ), National Secular Forum urged Pranab Mukherjee President of India is visitor of the central University of Jammu, to Nullify all the recent appointments in the CUJ Jammu as the process and procedures adopted by the CUJ Jammu was totally unethical, illegal, violation of the fundamental right of equal opportunity. Addressing the media person here today, NSF president Sukhdev Singh condemned the discrimination and suppression of the Jammu youth in the recent appointments of CUJ. Sukhdev Singh alleged that in the recent appointments of Asstt. Professors in the CUJ the eligible candidates who were hailing from Jammu region were ignored and avoided although a number of them were appointed earlier as Asstt. Proff. in various faculties of the CUJ.
Sukhdev Singh further stated that four candidates, who were already working in the deptt. of Economics in the CUJ for the same posts as Contractual Asstt Proff. and also they have applied for the permanent posts of Asstt. Proff. In recent past were not even called for the interview which was held recently and also all candidates who have been appointed are from outside states. Similarly in the Deptt of Environmental Science all candidates who belong to the Jammu regions were deprived from appearing even for the interviews for the post of Asstt. Proff. Despite the fact that they were already working as the contractual Asstt Proff. In the same Department with good academic records, experiences and publications. And all the appointments in this department also include the selection of the candidates who belong to any other sate than Jammu Kashmir. More than this in the Department of Education the same case has been noticed that all the three appointments which were made recently included candidates from any other states and Jammu based candidates who were working as contractual Asstt Proff. on the same posts were not even shortlisted for the interview although highly qualified and experienced.
Sukhdev Singh further questioned about the credibility of the CUJ in absence of the latest updates of its workings, plans, calendar, Appointments, and all other information on its Website. He alleges that only CUJ is running on the grounds of no information to the General Public on its Website in India.
NSF President Sukhdev Singh also briefed about the signature campaign which is over today, appraised that more than 3 and half lakhs persons from the whole Jammu division have supported the signature campaign against the corruption and irregularities and Discrimination of Jammu Youth by the CUJ, with solidarity of their Signatures.
