| Two arrested for smuggling leopard skin | | | Jammu | Mar 9
Nagrota police today arrested two persons and recovered leopard skin from their possession during checking on naka when they were on way to out of State for smuggling. According to reports today police party of Nagrota police station led by SI Rakesh Bamba during routine checking on naka saw two persons in suspicious condition and stooped them for checking and during checking police recovered a leopard skin from their possession and took them to police station for further interrogation. They have been identified as Mohd Yusif son of Bhooba resident of Kathua and Mustaq Ahmed son of Mohd Shafi resident of Chanderkot and during interrogation they told police that they smuggling the skin out of State and police has also register a case in this regard and investigating the matter the seized skin cost is about 1 lacs rupees in International market. Sources said they told some more information to police and more arrests are likely in this regard. Here in mention that last year Kathua and Udhampur police has also arrested some skin smugglers who were smuggling the skin out of State.
