| India-Pak discussing more links across LOC: Azad | | | Rajouri | Mar 09 Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that India and Pakistan are looking forward for opening more links along LOC to further ‘bridge the distances’ between people living on either side of the Line. Chief Minister was addressing a public gathering at Nowshera here today. Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh congress president Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Mangat Ram Sharma, Gulchain Singh Charak, Madan Lal and MLA Nowshera Dr. Romesh Chander were accompanying the chief minister. Expressing satisfaction over the meeting held during recent visit of Foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee with his counter part in Pakistan, adding that the opening of three more links including Leh-Askardoo, Jinghar-Mirpur and Jammu-Sailkote roads were among the other issues that were discussed at the ministerial level talks. Hoping for early restoration of peace in the state, Azad said that walls of hatred is being razed to pave way for peace and mutual friendship. “Distances are being bridged to provide peace a chance for well being of people of both the countries” Azad maintained Elaborating upon the achievements of the coalition, he said government is planning to set up more administrative units adding that government has already extended the term of Bloria Commission to report on the carving out of more administrative units including Tehsils, blocks and Naibats. He said this has been done to inculcate such demands which are continuously coming from various areas. Chief Minister also announced a Degree college and ITI for Nowshera-Sunderbani. He said that the work on the College building in Nowshera would be started by June this year. Dr Romesh Sharma Chander later in his adress thanked Azad for announcing opening of Degree College in his Home Constituency. |
