| One-day workshop of Mahila Mandal held | | | JAMMU | MAR 10
Information Education Communication (IEC) conducted a one-day workshop of Mahila Mandal regarding their effective participation in implementation of ICDS schemes. Members of Mahila Mandel, Anganwadi helpers and women participated in the workshop. CDPO, Vijaypur, Rajeev Singh Salaria, BMO Ramgarh, Zafer Ali Chib and supervisors also attended the workshop.
CDPO, Vijaypur speaking on this occasion stressed that the Mahila Mandel organisation has to play an important role in implementing the ICDS programme, to involve the women of the village in the Anganwadi activities. He further told the Mahila Mandal members to create awareness among the women folk for exclusive breast-feeding for six months, use of iodized salt and safe drinking water. Supervisors also gave detailed information about schemes and women related social issues.
