| BCC hail revolutionary steps of Azad led government | | | JAMMU, MARCH 10 Lauding the revolutionary efforts of the coalition government led by Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad , Block Congress Committee Talab Tiloo of Jammu West Constituency has expressed the hope that these measures would revolutionize the economy of the state in general and help in particular the farmers and other weaker sections to improve their socio economic conditions. Addressing the meeting of party activists of Jammu West Constituency at Kabir Nagar here today, the Block Congress Committee President J L Koul said that the bold and revolutionary step taken by the Congress led Government to implement the Roshni Act in the amended form would go in a long way to benefit the farmers apart from increasing agriculture production. He said the creation of eight more districts and tehsils across the State is another notable feature of the coalition government. The government, he said, has gone beyond the Wazir Commission recommendations, suggesting only four districts in the state. Referring to the prevailing development scenario, the meeting expressed satisfaction for equitable and rational development of all the regions and areas of the state and in this connection referred several development projects taken in hand in Jammu West constituency. The meeting also lauded Pt .Mangat Ram Sharma, a veteran Congress leader and Minister for Health and Medical Education, for taking great interest in the development of the constituency and maintained that a number of tube wells are under execution while several hand pumps have been installed and commissioned to meet the water requirements of the people. The meeting felt the need for highlighting the problems of the people and taking up these at the appropriate forum for early redressal and also strengthening the hands of the AICC President Mrs Sonia Gandhi in carrying forward the policies and programs of Congress party. The meeting among others was attended and addressed by V K Datta, Babu Singh, Chibber, Kaushal Sharma and Katoch.
