| DCC hail unopposed election of Niaz, Chib | | | DODA, Mar 10
District Congress Committee Doda in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Bhaderwah Municipality Javed Azad President discussed various organizational issues and steps taken to ameliorate the lot of the common masses.
The meeting hailed the unopposed election of Mohammed Sharief Niaz, R S Chib, Ali Mohammed Bhat and Mohammed Amin as members of the State Legislative Council and expressed optimism that with their election to the Upper House, the Congress party would be further strengthened both within and outside the legislature.
The speakers at the meeting praised the leadership of Mrs Gandhi and expressed their gratitude to AICC Chief, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and PCC Chief Peerzada Mohammed Sayeed for selecting the most popular, dynamic and mass based leaders of the party to the Legislative Council.
Addressing the meeting Javed Azad said that the revolutionary Roshni Act passed under the Congress led Government has far reaching effects and it has gone beyond the expectations of the people, particularly farmers.
