| Jatt Youth Federation demands OBC status | | |

The Jatt Youth Federation in its meeting held here today discussed the problems confronting the community and gave a call to the youth to strengthen the organization, devoted to the cause of the community.
The meeting presided over by the Federation President Manjeet Singh Jatt said that the much awaited demand of granting OBC status to the community was still awaited and impressed the need for granting this status to the community without further loss of time.
He said that the community has already presented a memorandum to the State Governor listing its demands but regretted that no fruitful results have come out so far.
The other speakers at the meeting said that the backwardness of the community was as majority of them were living in the border areas with little avenues and called for granting OBC status to the community and setting up youth hostels for the community youth.
Among others present at the meeting were Sunil Choudhary, Karnail Singh Kinda, Ravinder Choudhary, Satnam Singh, Man Mohan Singh, Davinder Singh, Parmjeet Singh and Mandeep Singh.
