A meeting of Select Committee to discuss the Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Commission (Amendment) Bill-2006 was held here today under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz.
The meeting held threadbare discussion on the proposed amendments brought by Mr. Qaiser Jamshid Lone during the budget session, 2006. The Members put forth their viewpoints and sought more time for recommendations.
The Private Member’s Bill No. 37 of 2006 seeks amendments in the Principal Act of State Accountability Commission in its sections 18, 25 and 26 for further strengthening the Law.
Those present in the meeting included legislators Mr. A.R.Veeri, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Khan, Mr. Mula Ram, Dr. Chaman Lal, Mr. Yogesh Sawhney, Mrs. Shanti Devi, Mrs. Kanta Andotra, Mr. Faqir Nath, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Mr. M.A.Bukhari, Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Secretary Assembly Mr. M. Iqbal Ganai and officers of Law Department.
