Pracheen Kala Kendra will present the 3rd “Guru Madan Lal Koser–Guru Shobha Koser Award – 2007” which carries with it a citation, a memento, a shawl and a sum of rupees fifty thousand each to Kolkata-based Sarod legend Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta and renowned Bharatnatyam danseuse from Chennai Dr. Saraswati.
Dr. M. Balamurali Krishan, the veteran vocalist will be the chief guest of the function.
The award ceremony will be followed by a well-knit concert of music and dance where Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta and Kalaimamani Priya, daughter and disciple of Dr. Saraswati will mesmerize the city audience with a Sarod recital and Bharatnatyam.
The award has been constituted to honour Shobha and Madan Lal Koser –who have done yeoman’s service to the cause of dance and music for almost six decades now.
