| SVG to start first PGDM Course | | | JAMMU| MAR 13
Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes, Chandigarh has become the first group in the region to start the School of Business Management offering Post Graduates Diploma in Management (SVSM), Banu (Chandigarh) on the IIM pattern.
Diwan Kanwar, coordinator SVGOI, while addressing the conference said it is the only group in Northern region i.e. Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh which has started such a education programme.
He added that SVSM will not only emphasize theoretical knowledge of the students but also impart practical training by giving opportunities to students for internship in various companies.
Dr P P Arya, Director (SVSM), rmed that the institute would have its own syllabus and fee structure unlike university’s traditional syllabus. SVSM will act as independent authority for PGDM in which every thing will be internal from designing of syllabus to degree.
He further rmed that students would be given high tech modern facilities including internet facilities, LCD Projectors, Workshop, Labs and conference theatres.
