| Mayor holds a conference | | | Jammu | Mar 13 Newly elected Jammu Mayor Narinder Singh Raju today held a conference at Town hall in which he gave the report on the loss of property of the people during the ongoing rains which have lashed the state for the last three days. While addressing the Conference, Municipal Commissioner, Vinod Sharma said that due to continuous rains for three days, the people in low-lying areas have suffered a lot of problems. The water from the nullahs near the Railway Colony got over flooded and water got into the houses of the people. He said that JMC is trying its best to take preventive measures. Meanwhile, the Mayor said that he had visited the affected parts of the city and assured that Jammu municipality came to the rescue of the people in different parts of the city. He said the JMC has set up pumping sets to pump out the drain water and storm water from flooded areas. Deputy Mayor, Dharam Veer Singh Jamwal was also present on this occasion.
