| Jora visits damaged Grid Station, inspects repairing work | | | Jammu, March 14
Minister for Power Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora today visited the damaged 132/33 KV (100 MW) Grid Station at Canal Jammu and took stock of repairing work of Grid Station. He asked the concerned engineers to make it functional within minimum possible time so as to avoid any inconvenience to the people of the areas which are fed by this grid station.
Later, Mr. Jora also inspected 2x10 MVA Receiving Station at Canal and sought the appraisal of the power situation in the areas catered by this receiving station. He asked the concerned engineers and field staff to monitor the distribution of power supply in the areas fed by these stations and ensure that these are not put to any unnecessary loading which oftenly causes damage to the stations. He also appealed the consumers to make judicious use of electricity so as to avert undesired load shedding.
Chief Engineer Maintenance and Rural Electrification Jammu, Mr. D.S. Pawar and other senior engineers of PDD also accompanied the Minister.
