| CEO lays stress on moral education | | | DODA,MAR14
The present day education lays stress only on achieving academic excellence and nurtures young buds in career building ignoring the importance of character building .This has grown materialistic temperament and commercial behavior giving rise to so many evils ,said Chief Education Officer Doda D.C.Chib while talking to media persons here today .
India ,he said ,has since ages remained abode of great values ,principles and character along with an important seat of wide ranging knowledge .He appreciated the School management for taking care of character building in students along side giving them best possible modern education .Today’s child is future of nation ,should be brilliant ,capable competent and above all patriotic ,Chib asserted .
He also expressed satisfaction over the curricular and extra –curricular activities being taken up in educational institutions focusing on the area of moral education and said present day requirements also demand from us that we should aim to obtain twin objectives of scientific knowledge and character building from education system .He said teachers have stupendous role in this respect as they engineer the soft and tender human resources into its true shape.
Chib also informed that the examinations of HSS Part 1st and 2nd is going on smoothly in this militancy ridden area and claimed the from the last week, he inspected dozens of centers and not found any unfair means .He said all the defunct schools in the district have been made functional by posting adequate staff. He said that teachers appointed on contractual basis would soon be posted to their respective places of postings.
