3 bovine animals rescued, two held

Jammu, Sept 12: The police foiled a bovine smuggling bid at a naka at Manda, with the arrest of two persons and rescued three bovine animals which were being transported illegally from Jammu to Srinagar. As per police reports, the police station Pacca Danga, led by SHO P/S along with Police Party laid a naka at Manda, intercepted the one Tata Mobile (JK 02 AD-1244) and rescued 03 bovine animals which were found packed inside the said vehicle for being transported illegally from Jammu to Srinagar.
"The driver of vehicle Manzoor Ahmed S/o Sardar Ali R/o Sidhra Jammu and Rajinder Kumar S/o Rattan Chand R/o Jirhi Kana Chack Jammu were held on spot, police said adding, " a case against FIR No 163/13 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, registered and investigation has been started."
