Complete unanimity between NC, Cong leaders on looting state: PDP

Jammu, Sept 12: Terming National Conference-Congress regime as directionless coalition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today sought support of the people to throw out this corrupt dispensation, which has miserably failed to address aspirations and wishes of the people. "The five year tenure of this government is a dark period in the history of Jammu and Kashmir because system of governance has been completely collapsed and those at the helm of the affairs are brazenly indulged into looting public exchequer", said Yash Pal Sharma, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat while addressing series of public meetings at Gujjar Nagar, Digiana and Mishriwalla areas in connection with the campaign of party for the Lok Sabha elections. "Legitimizing corruption and eroding sanctity of democratic institutions are noticeable achievements of the present government headed by Omar Abdullah", he said and pointed out that both National Conference and Congress had decided to enter into alliance after 2008 Assembly elections only to enjoy power and to loot public exchequer.
"It is really a matter of concern that for the last five years this coalition government has been functioning without any common programme and policy between two partners", he equipped and observed that both Congress and National Conference have differences on all important issues but leadership of both the parties is united on looting the State and victimizing the common masses. "Instead of involving
consensus on important issues which confronting the State, there seems to be a complete understanding between Congress and National Conference leaders to remain united as far looting of the State is concerned", he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Trilok Singh Bajwa said that it was high time to teach a lesson to both the coalition parties for betraying the people. He said that during the last five years this dispensation has done nothing to solve day today problems of the people. He regretted that every section of the society was bearing brunt of the wrong policies of present regime. He further pointed out that developmental activities have virtually halted in the State due to lack of vision among those who are at the helm of the affairs. Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi, Thakur Suram Singh, Daman Bhasin, R K Bali, Hussain Ali Wafa, Jagjit Singh Jagga, Rajinder Singh Manhas, Surjit Kour, Bikram Singh Langeh, Devinder Kour, Arvinedr Mahajan, Deepinder Kour, Amrik Singh Reen, Jatinder Bhat, Rashpal Billoria, Chaman Lal Manyal, Punit Jamwal, Dile Ram, Lal Chand, K.K Sharma, Badri Nath, Varinder Singh Sonu, Chaman Angral and others also spoke on the occasion.
