| Immediate completion of Tawi Lake Project demanded | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12: All Jammu Hotels & Lodges Association has demanded immediate completion of Tawi Lake Project as the rainy season has already come to an end. Addressing the meeting Inderjeet Khajuria president drew the attention of line departments i.e Flood Control, JDA and Tourism to attend to the promised beautification of banks of Tawi River which should further be developed on the pattern of Artighat at Haridwar.
The project was to be completed by July end but delayed due to one reason or the other. The President further reminded the authorities to take up the proposed project of construction of a link road between Tawi bridge Jewel to Bhagwatinagar yatra base camp along the right bank of Tawi River to facilitate yatra traffic and in order to remove congestion.
The delay caused by the authorities has encouraged the miscreants who have started encroachments on the Tawi bank which is harmful for the proposed road. He suggested immediate eviction of unauthorized occupants and early completion of the proposed road else whole the tawi bank shall be infested with illegal encroachments. The President impressed upon the authorities to complete the project as early as possible as the same is the dream of Jammuites as a wonderful picnic spot for recreation and an Artighat for them on the pattern of Haridwar.
Present in the meeting included Pawan Gupta, Harbans Singh, Ajay Gupta, Bikramsingh, Sunil Suri and Baldev. |
