| One held, bovine animals rescued in Udhampur | | |

Udhampur, Sept 12 : Police today achieved a success by rescuing 04 bovine animals and arresting one bovine smuggler at Tikri Udhampur.
According to reports a Police party of Police Post Tikri led by Sub. Inspector Nishant Gupta laid a surprise naka on Jammu Srinagar highway near Tikri in the wee hours and intercepted a Mahindra Vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02AG-2242 .
Reports added that during the thorough search of vehicle, 04 bovine animals were found loaded in the said vehicle. All the bovine animals were rescued and 01 bovine smuggler namely Manzoor Ahmed Son of Abdul Ghani resident of Barnote Tehsil Ramban was arrested on the spot. Vehicle used by the bovine smugglers for transporting the said bovine animals was also seized. Meanwhile in this connection, a Case FIR No. 154/2013 Under section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act stands registered in Police station Rehamble against accused and further investigation of the case is going on. |
