JAMMU, Sept 12: Mamta Mishra of Army Public School (APS) Kaluchak and Rifat Choudhary of High School Chowadi shined with double gold on the first day of the two-day inter-school girls' competitions of Jammu district, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at University of Jammu ground, here today.
Both Mamta and Rifat won gold medals in twin field events of Shot Put and Javelin Throw in under-19 and under-17 categories respectively.
Earlier, second place in under-19 Shot Put went to Babli Devi of High School Gharota while Sayali Verma of Jodhamal Public School remained third. Similarly, in under-17 age group, Suman Kumari of High School Simbal Camp and Nisha Devi of High School, Kot Ghari secured second and third place respectively.
Today's field and track events were officiated by the technical penal including Nirmal Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Ram Murti, Vijay kumar, Chanderveer Singh, Rohit Gupta, Vishal Bharti, Vaneet Pangotra, Satika, Ram Murti, Anita Bhat, Manju Shama and Harpreet Bhalla.
