Jammu, Sept 12: First of its kind in Jammu, a team of three doctors of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar today did total hip replacement (THR) surgery at hospital.
According to press release, Sushil (45) a resident of Akhnoor had fracture neck of femur in 1997. He was operated upon in 1998 & bipolar prosthesis was done. About 4 years back he started with pain in the hip. His x-ray revealed broken stem of prosthesis. His surgery was planned and total hip replacement (THR) was done at Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu by a team of doctors named Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Dr. Rajesh Gandotra and Dr. Ranbhushan Singh along with theatre staff. |
