JAMMU, Sept 12: Soon after the new Students Cultural Council is elected on September 16, the preparations for the prestigious Display Your Talent Contest shall start taking final shape.
Organised by the Dean Students Welfare (DSW), the month-long Contest in various disciplines scheduled to make a beginning with colourful Rangoli competition on September 23. The opening event shall take place at Gymnasium Hall of the Department of Sports and Physical Education at 10.30 am. In all, 28 events are there in the Contest with last competition being Folk Dance, scheduled on October 15. Except for photography, all the events shall take place on the JU Campus.
"We have already intimated the affiliated colleges and the Post Graduate Departments of the University regarding the annual contest. A copy of the details, including schedule and laid down rules for the competition, has already been dispatched to the participating colleges and departments," Dean Students Welfare, Prof NK Tripathi said. |
