Making women economically self reliant

Srinagar, Sept 12: J&K State Women's Development Corporation (JKWDC) conducted an awareness camp in the indoor stadium of district Kargil. The camp was attended by more than 600 women and college girls. The camp was inaugurated by Managing Director, JKWDC, Naheed Soz.
While speaking in detail about various schemes run by the Corporation, she laid great stress on the schemes of National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC), especially the educational loan scheme where a girl student can avail loan from Rs 10lacs to Rs.20 lacs to pursue education in India and abroad respectively.
She impressed upon women to become economically self reliant by availing the benefits of the schemes of NMDFC.
The awareness camp was sponsored by NMDFC the forms were distributed amongst potential beneficiaries and on spot registration of beneficiaries was done.
