| Various continue to protest poor healthcare in Kathua | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Sept 12: Several political and non political organizations comprising IDP, Sarav Dharam Seva Samiti and Mahila Adhikar Sangathan held joint protest demonstration against the deplorable condition of the District Hospital Kathua here today. The protestor took out procession towards the office of Deputy Commissioner Kathua demanding to full fill the vacant posts of medical staff including doctors and paramedical staff. While speaking on the occasion the leaders of the protest president of IDP, ID Khajuria, President of SDSS Robin Sharma, and president of Mahila Adhikar Sangathan Santosh Khajuria expressed their resentment over the insensitivity of the health ministry of Jammu and Kashmir towards the development of the District Hospital Kathua due to which healthcare in district has deteriorated. They said that the two hospitals were given by the government in state as per the RCH scheme one for Jammu province in district kathua and other for Kashmir province in Anantnag with facility of 100 beds. The government has uplifted the Anantnag Hospital with all modern infrastructures but left the kathua in deplorable condition, they added. After their protest they submitted a memorandum regarding the demands to the state government through ADDC Kathua. |
